At the end of the course, the participants are expected to:

  2. Describe the frequency of medication errors and common types of medication errors.
  3. Identify steps that CNAs can take to reduce medication errors and improve patient safety.
  4. Describe the various routes of medication administration.
  5. Recall the steps involved in administering oral, ophthalmic, otic, rectal, topical, enteral, inhaled/nebulized, and transdermal medications.
